| Carochalet is ideally located in Middelburg, situated between Colesberg and Graaff-Reinet on the N9, and is the ideal midway stopover between the bustling Gauteng and beautiful Cape Town, for travelling via the picturesque Garden Route.

At Carochalet we offer you 10 camping sites on lush grass with power points for tents, motorhomes and caravans. Neat and clean ablution facilities, laundry and scullery equipped with hotplate, kettle and fridge. Fully equipped braai areas. Two 3 bedroom and two 1 bedroom self-catering chalets are fully equipped. The bedrooms are furnished. We also offer a MIDSTOP facility and allow you to stretch your legs and take out a picnic basket or your take-aways in a comfortable and safe environment between 10h00 and 16h00. Facilities available are clean ablutions, grass, shade, braai areas and swimming pool. Shops and other amenities are within walking distance. Camping Sites: Ten camping sites on grass with power points for tents, motorhomes and caravans. Neat and clean ablution facilities equipped with hotplate, electric kettle, fridge and washing and ironing facilities. Swimming pool and braai facilities are available. Self-service Chalets:
"Lootsberg" - 1 bedroom (en-suite), 2 x three quarter beds
"Rhenosterberg" - 3 bedrooms - 1 double bed and 4 x three quarter beds
"Brulberg" - 1 bedroom, 2 x three quarter beds
"Ouberg" - 3 bedrooms, 2 double beds, 2 x three quarter beds and baby cot.
The chalets are fully equipped with good quality linen, crockery, TV (normal channels), microwave oven, fridge and (except for "Lootsberg") stove or hotplate. Swimming pool and braai facilities are available. Safety and parking: The premises is walled and keys for the main gate are supplied to each visiting group. Parking is on-site. Pets: Pets are allowed within reason provided they are adequately supervised, all facilities required for them are provided and cleaning up done by the owner. Reception: Reception is at 86 Van der Walt street and an intercom facility is available at the vehicle entrance.
